A finalist in the National 24 Hour Film Challenge. For this particular festival, each team is given a title and genre, along with 24 hours to script, shoot and edit a 5 minute film. It might sound easy, but it isn’t. A story of love and loss, all in the blink of an eye.
•Elguapo ‘Tungsten Carbide’ - 2005 - Dir. Ben Allen
A music promo for this former Bristol band. This song was the main title music for Framing Frankie and was shot at the same time as the feature, starring all of the major cast.
Elguapo have since disbanded, and it is still a huge shame!!!!

Scott Martin is your average 18 year old. He's happy with his friends Paul, Craig and Jasper. He's also happy with his girlfriend, Frankie. Scott's fallen completely in love with her, and believes she feels the same. She doesn't. Scott's friends soon find out that Frankie is seeing another guy, Cris. And, as any good friends would, they tell Scott, who of course is devastated. It's at this point that Paul jumps in and decides Frankie needs a taste of some kind of medicine: it's not her own, but hey, it works!
So, the four friends set out to get cruel, yet comical revenge on Frankie.
•Voice of the Bomb ‘My Penis is Aching For You’ - 2009 - Dir. Ben Allen
Voice of the Bomb is shot!!! After one of the most fun weekends ever, we wrapped. It was awesome, and we would love to work with these guys again!! The short version, as well as the full blown, 11-minute (yes, 11 minutes long!!!!), exploitation explotion will be available online before long. Make sure you keep checking back so you can watch this homage to the exploitation movies of the 70's!!!

We're currently working with this awesome UK hip hop artist on a short documentary to promote his debut single 'Knock Knock.' Definitely one of the hottest artists to come out of Bristol in a long time, Al-Catraz is definitely one to watch. Keep checking back for more news on this production.

We're heading up to London on 25th of this month to spend the day with Kitten Cake and shoot some awesome studio / gig footage for their debut single.
Being mostly shot in the world famous Troubadour, Styx Productions are the first film crew to be allowed to shoot in the prestigious live music venue!!!
